We are influencing change through intersectional programmes in the workplace, education institutions and with the government.
We are empowering and enriching educators, young people, especially underrepresented groups to succeed in STEM careers.
We are leading change in the wake for others to follow through partnerships with organizations to implement sustainable and empowering projects.
We invite you to become a part of the vision and help us inspire the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. We offer several ways for you to get involved and make a difference in the lives of talents interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Our activities are community-centered to advance STEM interest, its application and the socio-economic ripple opportunities. This has increasingly demanded the creation of complementary education strategies to support continued growth and achievement of underserved and underrepresented population.
These underrepresented group include marginalized communities, women and girls, the economically disadvantaged, and people with disabilities.
Our beneficiaries are matched with real-world connection between STEM learning, community service and serve as active members who are prepared to solve problems, collaborate, and build a better future.
STEMi Makers of Africa partner with organizations, schools and the government to guarantee students/communities access to the latest advancements in technology and research, effectively preparing them to operate in a technologically advanced workplace. By providing students access to skills, development and hands-on tools, the communities understand and apply enriched STEM principles and advance STEM education.
These impact investments enable schools and communities to create more comprehensive STEM programs, including STEM-focused clubs, maker-spaces, competitions and training of youth.
Our programs offer talents a safe environment to test their skills and knowledge, allowing them to grow and develop their interests and self-reliance through STEM careers.
Becoming a STEMi volunteer or mentor is both rewarding and challenging. The excitement and satisfaction of transforming talents and communities keep many of our volunteers coming back year after year.
We involve hundreds of volunteers across Africa and MENA nations each year, supporting a diverse range of our intersectional programs, like the Project Kuongoza mentoring of girls that successfully offered career opportunities and entrepreneurship to 3,800+ women and girls in 21 countries.
Our mentors and advisors are amazing professional men and women who are experienced executives and leaders, with a passion for service to work and support us in various ways without the expectation of pay or other tangible gain.
