Career City for Entry-level talents

Donation opportunities available: STEMi Makers of Africa are always seeking partners to provide new and exciting career challenges to enable graduates/underemployed/undergraduates to upskill their technical literacy journey and gain insight into the breadth of problems being solved across different industries every day.

Why partner with us: The Career City for Entry-level talents programme is a virtual and hybrid work experience offering that develops key employability skills – problem solving, digital skills literacy, storytelling, and presentation to talents in tertiary education spaces and new entrants in the job market. Since our launch in June 2022, we have 1k active student members and work with 45 universities across Africa.

We also bring together students, local employers and advisers through careers events and activities. During the programme, it is up to mentors and organizations to offer careers advice and guidance to these talents. We are here to help and provide free resources, information on current career opportunities and advice on activities and exercises to run.

For example, we have paired 102 talents to work with partners to create career challenges (bitesize projects) that they can undertake using data to solve the problem and gain certification.

We deliver our virtual work experience online, in the classroom and onsite with our data days.
